{Little Roses}…in a Vase

I am joining with In a Vase on Monday.

I may have mentioned before that I have the sweetest neighbour ever. On Christmas Eve, the MOTH and I went over to leave a gift and wish them Season’s Greetings. As we were walking back through her garden, I spied a beautiful bunch of miniature roses….all on one stem. Before I knew it, Jen had cut the stem off and handed them to me.

I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.

― Emma Goldman

Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness,

know that, like life,

things sometimes must fade,

before they can bloom again.

– Unknown

A rose must remain with the sun and the rain or its lovely promise won’t come true.

– Ray Evans

But the rose leaves herself upon the brier,

For winds to kiss and grateful bees to feed.

-John Keats
