My entry for16/1/2022.
The one thing that I love about Summer in the valley where I live is hay cutting and baling. Even before the tractors move in, I love to watch the long grass swaying in the breeze….it’s really mesmerising. Then the tractors come in……and the action begins. One cuts and gathers the grass into long heaps which the other tractor collects and miraculously spits out a lovely fresh bale of hay. And lets not talk about the beautiful fragrance of freshly cut hay….intoxicating!

Hay cutting and baling brings back childhood memories for me. We used to go out and gather the bales into piles and then throw them onto the trailer. Smaller oblong bales not the huge round ones. Phew!
